Privacy Policy

The short version. Stubs keeps your data on your phone. We don't ask you to create an account, we don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites. The only information that ever leaves your device is what's needed to send the match notifications you ask for.

Information stored on your device

Saved locally on your phone (and not sent to us):

The teams you follow and any match reminders you set
Whether you've completed the welcome screens
A cached copy of fixtures, scores, squads and standings so the app works offline

Information sent to our servers

If — and only if — you enable push notifications, your device sends two things to our server so we can deliver alerts for your teams:

A push notification token issued by Apple/Expo for your device (this lets us send a notification to that device; it is not your name, email or phone number)
The team codes you follow (e.g. "BRA"), so we only notify you about matches you care about

This is used solely to deliver notifications. It is not linked to your identity, is not sold or shared, and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. Turn it off any time in iOS Settings → Notifications, or by un-following your teams.

Match data

Scores, fixtures, line-ups, squads and statistics are sourced from third-party providers for informational purposes. Stubs is an independent, unofficial app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any league, federation, club, or competition organizer.

Service providers

Hosting — standard request logs (including IP address) may be processed transiently to operate and secure the service
Database — stores your notification token and followed teams
Expo & Apple Push Notification service — deliver the notifications to your device

Children

Stubs is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
